When he was in fourth grade, Andrei’s teacher told him that he’s a smart boy, but his head is too much in the clouds, so he decided to pursue a career in dreaming. He’s currently studying illustration at Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Andrei creates small worlds that he can get lost in, using different mediums like digital drawing, painting, ink, pencils or whatever he’ll find laying on his desk. He is inspired by city living, pop culture, languages and light. Andrei is a visual translator, often taking heavy or taboo subjects and using his favorite way of communication: the visual, to transform them into easy-to-swallow and playful images.
